Career Tapped

About Career Tapped

I built Career Tapped because I remember what it felt like to struggle to land an internship and my first job.

I remember trying to land internships, and eventually my first real job, without really understanding how hiring worked or how to get in front of the right people.

Career Tapped started from a simple frustration.

Luke, founder of Career Tapped

Studying business at Syracuse University, I remember struggling to land my first internship and then my first real job.

At the time, I did what most students do. I applied online, waited, and hoped the right opportunity would eventually come through.

Today, after working closely with companies of different sizes and seeing how hiring and business decisions happen from the inside, I understand the process very differently. Getting in front of the right people, building relationships, and starting real conversations can completely change the outcome.

That idea became the foundation for Career Tapped.

I built the 5-Step Internship System to teach students starting their careers what I wish I had understood earlier. The goal is to help you deliberately pursue the career you actually want instead of simply settling for whatever opportunity happens to come your way.

Getting in front of the right person changes everything.

Career Tapped is built around a simple idea: don’t just submit an application and disappear into the pile.

Choose the opportunities you actually want, identify the people behind them, and give yourself a reason to be noticed.

Built for students at the start of their careers.

Career Tapped gives students a more intentional way to approach the internship search, with a clear strategy, relevant hiring contacts, and the tools to start real conversations.

Every student begins with a 1:1 kickoff session to define their goals and start building a plan before putting the system into action.
